Do you want to see deeper into the country without stretching your holiday limit, and spend plenty of time riding horses? This tour has a bit more to offer when it comes to diverse landscapes. Elsen tasarkhai is Gobi like place in Central Mongolia with long but low sand dunes, The Orkhon River and the Waterfall is the fruition of a volcanic eruption, and the river valley is very scenic with the Forest Mountains and wild flowers. Riding through the valley is aesthetically pleasing for the eye and riding itself is smooth, though the adventurous routes can be resourced with a local expert of a riding guide. Arrive in Karakorum, after a hot shower and a restaurant meal, visit to the old temple of Erdenezuu.

Itinerary

Day1.  Elsen Tasarhai (Sand dunes)

Pick up from the hotel and start driving to Elsen Tasarai. Drive through steppe, mountains and on the way you will see the agricultural areas of central Mongolia. Arrive in the ger camp and have lunch. After lunch drive to Uvgun temple. Dinner and overnight in a ger camp. (L/D)

Day2. Orkhon Waterfall

After breakfast at the camp start driving to Orkhon Waterfall. Small walking to the waterfall and later after lunch visit nomadic family and meet the horses for the riding. Taste traditional dairy products. Overnight in a ger camp. (B/L/D

Day3-4. Horse riding

Breakfast at the ger camp and drive to the family. Upon arrival, the nomadic people will prepare the horses. Start riding the horses leaving the waterfall area and heading Kharakorum. You will ride the horses through the beautiful landscape of Orkhon Valley. Overnight in a tented camping. (B/L/D)

Day5. Kharakorum

After breakfast ride the horses and arrive near Kharakorum. Get into the car and drive to the ger camp. Upon arrival have lunch. After lunch visit Kharakorum museum and Erdenezuu Monastery. Visit the three empire statue for a view of Kharakorum city and Orkhon valley. Enjoy dinner at the ger camp. Overnight in a ger camp. (B/L/D)

Day6. Ulaanbaatar

After breakfast at the ger camp start driving back to Ulaanbaatar. (B)
